About Us

The Strategic Centre (The SC) is a UK registered Company based in London.  At The SC we initiate, plan, and lead international strategic partnerships for Academic, Research, HR Development, Training and Consultancy.
After extensive planning, strategy development and shaping long-term business model, this year The SC has started the implementation of its strategies with the strategic partners. The SC Strategic plan is to focus on the implementation of five main goals:
1)      To develop capabilities of the partner institutions in strategies of human resource development, business centres and entrepreneurship, support them with global experience and expertise in terms of planning, qualification, and training.
2)      To develop and enable partner institutions’ strategies for research funding programmes and joint research funding and support.
3)      To help building the capacities of the partner institutions to develop commercialisation strategies and align with the market needs and overall development.
4)      To support the strategic development of the partner institutions in scholarship and training programmes with high standards adapted to the industry needs in their countries.
5)      To improve the international competitiveness and ranking of the partner institutions by enhancing capacity, research, quality, and standards.
The SC main strategic activities focus on several international regions including, GCC and Central Asia (including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan) regions, where we work closely on current projects and potential business opportunities with our strategic partners, including:


Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and streamline our operations across multiple functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the company, implementing best practices, and optimizing resources to meet our strategic objectives. The Director of Operations will lead a team of managers and collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations across various departments, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to senior leadership in the development and execution of business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Proven experience (5+ years) in an leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong understanding of business functions, including higher education and management consulting .
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans efficiently.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant operational software and tools.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Fluent business English. Other languages (CIS, GCC, EU regions) are preferred.
