RECENT CASE STUDIES
Transforming Youth Employability in Sub-Saharan Africa
Challenge: Address high youth unemployment and bridge the gap between academic qualification and workplace readiness.
Approach: Designed and delivered a self-paced, six-month employability programme leveraging digital infrastructure, tailored to the needs of young professionals across the African region.
Impact: Equipped graduates with in-demand skills and competencies that enhance employability locally and globally, creating pathways into sustainable careers.
Foundational Strategy for a National Meteorology Academy (Saudi Arabia)
Challenge: Establish a specialised institute for meteorological education and research in partnership with government stakeholders.
Approach: Led feasibility studies and technical planning, including financial assessment and strategic alliance development with academic institutions.
Impact: Produced a robust foundational plan that positions the Academy for long-term success and sector leadership in environmental science training.
National Forest Fire Prevention Consortium (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)
Challenge: Prevent and mitigate forest fire outbreaks across southern and southwestern regions of Saudi Arabia.
Approach: Convened a multi-institutional advisory consortium including government, university research expertise (Monash University, Australia), and The SC’s strategic guidance to analyse risks and develop strategic preventive frameworks.
Impact: Strengthened national capabilities for ecosystem protection and risk reduction through evidence-based planning and cross-sector collaboration.
